It is important to us that your Peritech visits as often as you need - no more, no less. As well as weekly, fortnightly, monthly and even half-termly visits, we accommodate a wide variety of visit patterns to keep everything running smoothly.
When our technicians visit, it is vital that they are ready for the jobs you need them to carry out. We work hard to ensure that the whole team is skilled and knowledgeable about all the technologies and issues that are important to your school.
For that reason, we run a programme of continuing professional development to educate the team about every relevant area of school life.
We prize the relationships we have with our schools. That's why we take time to talk to you about the service you receive and how it could improve.
If you would like us to help you to develop longer-term strategies for system development - say over a three or five year period - just talk to your Peritech, and we will get things going.
Our service has its own job ticketing system, designed specifically for schools. Alongside letting you record the jobs that need doing, you can also keep track of your contract, your scheduled visits and take advantage of a wide range of information about events and other services.
We also have an online forum for ICT Co-ordinators and AppAdvisor, where you can recommend the apps you use in the classroom, or find out about the ones other teachers are using.
From time to time it's inevitable that staff absences will occur. Our service minimises the impact by arranging alternative visits, wherever possible in the same week. We track the number of technical visits your school has had during the contract period, and make sure that you don't lose out.
At any point you can see what is owed to you, and when your visits are scheduled.
Of course, our Peritechs have high-level technical skills. On top of that, we teach our Peritechs to support every aspect of the use of technology within the school, whenever the occasion arises. This can be as simple as exploring a new piece of software with a member of staff, or helping the site manager get to grips with the CCTV system.
IBS Schools (part of Capita group) carry out consistent screening checks on all employees as part of the recruitment process. This consists of the following checks: identity, Right to Work, address, criminality check, financial probity, sanctions, adverse media and references. All staff who regularly visit schools (consultants, technicians and peritechs) have an additional higher level (enhanced DBS) screening for safeguarding reasons.
All screening checks must be completed and passed before a worker commences employment.
Checks are repeated every three years.
